The Camwells founders included Chris Challis. His interest in using and commercialising technology started as a Natural Sciences graduate at Cambridge University.

This interest developed as Head of Finance at Celltech the biotech, putting in the foundations to later reach the FTSE 100. He joined Price Waterhouse as Computer Audit Manager and Financial Management Consultant, working with clients such as Sony, Hewlett-Packard and British Gas, plus many small and medium-sized businesses.

He then worked in a sales role at a computer systems reseller, which means a first-hand understanding of how to work well with such companies.

Chris is a Chartered Accountant. He qualified with Grant Thornton in Oxford as first prizewinner for the Thames Valley region.

He is the IT Faculty representative for the Thames Valley Society of Chartered Accountants (TVSCA), for whom he has been arranging popular events since 1998. These include over 30 events in the "Internet Business Forum" and the "Biztech" Business Technology Forum series.

Overall Chris provides clients with over 25 years of business experience and financial management expertise including business strategy, sales and marketing, cost control, cash flow control and the effective use of systems.
