MANAGEMENT INFORMATION, KPIs and BI SYSTEMS

FD of £100m group of businesses |
| Issue: |
CEO and divisional directors not getting the management information they required. |
| Solution: |
Interviewed the directors of each business unit to identify and develop their key reporting requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - both for results and business drivers. Pulled this together into a specification document for the entire business. Reviewed a range of potential Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and recommended a shortlist. |

CEO and Group FD of £10m AIM-listed business |
| Issue: |
Not getting management information from well-known package to control business basics, and management had lost confidence in the system. Business expected to triple in size internationally. |

Compiled "User Requirements Specification" covering current and future needs. Used this to assess current system, alternative support arrangements, and alternative systems. |

No cash flow forecasts or budgeting system |
| Solution: |
Delivered financial model covering P&L, balance sheet and cash flow |

Used to set budgets and assess ongoing cash requirements. We went on to help them claim cash rebates totalling some £650,000 in R&D tax credits.

System was able to support growth to over £100m over the 5-year period Camwells was involved, including:

| Issue: |
Spreadsheet-based order processing system was close to collapse, and staff were threatening to resign. |

Compiled a "User Requirements Specification" to capture current and expected needs. Assessed packaged software and the feasibility of custom-written options.
